Pune is second largest city in Maharashtra state and it is cultural capital city. Places to visit in Pune

Kondeshwar Temple: The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva with several other shrines in the vicinity. The temple represents an ancient Hemadpanti style of architecture. The rocky terrain makes it a rough climb up to the temple and therefore monsoon visits are not advisable. Mahashivratri is one of the main festivals celebrated in this temple

Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum: The museum is situated at Bajirao Road and consists of art and crafts collected by late Shri Dinkar Kelkar. The main attraction of the museum is the Mastani Mahal which also depicts a few of the special exhibitions There are 21000 antiques to be displayed amongst which 2500 is on public display since many of them have been spoiled. A project called Museum 2000 has been started to make Dr.Kelkars dream of a educational, recreational and cultural museum come true and is in progress

Parvati Hill: Parvati Hill is a hillock in Pune The hillock rises to 2,100 feet (640 m) above sea level The hill has four temples dedicated to Shiva, Ganesh, Vishnu and Kartikeya respectively situated on top of the hill. The place also has a close association with the Peshwa rulers and is also a part of the Maratha history.

Vishrambaug Wada: Vishrambaag Wada a fine mansion situated at central Pune's Thorale Bajirao Road,was the luxurious residence of Peshwa Bajirao II This magnificent mansion is a three storied building and is also known as the Teen Chowki Wada for the same. It was built by the last Peshwa, Bajirao II as his residence. The mansion is 260 feet long and 815 feet broad and is situated on the Thorale Bajirao Road. The beautiful wada has an eye catching wooden facade and columns carved in Suru form. It was destructed by a sudden fire on October 31, 1880

Shaniwar Wada: Shaniwarwada was the stately mansion originally built as the residence of the Peshwas. It is a seven storied mansion and served as a seat of political power during its time. It acclaimed tremendous importance and is the city’s main attraction till date. The fort itself was largely destroyed in 1828 by an unexplained fire, but the surviving structures are now maintained as a tourist site.

Dagadusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple:  Shreemant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganapati Temple in Pune is dedicated to the Hindu God Ganesh. The temple is popular in Maharashtra and is visited by thousands of pilgrims every year. Shinde Chhatri : Shinde Chhatri located in Wanawadi, a well known place in Pune. The Shinde Chhatri is a memorial constructed for the Maratha leader, Mahadji Shinde. The memorial is situated in Wanowrie and holds great importance for the Scindia (Shinde) people

Aga Khan Palace: The Aga Khan Palace is also known as the Gandhi National Museum and is a part of the Indian freedom struggle. It served as a prison for national leaders like Mahatma Gandhi during the Quit India Movement in 1942. The museum also serves as a memorial wherein the remains (samadhi) of Mahatma Gandhi’s wife, Kasturba Gandhi rest in peace. The palace was built in 1892 by Sultan Mohammed Shah, Aga Khan III

Rajmachi Point: Rajmachi Point is located on the way to Mumbai from Pune, just before the starting point of the ghat, which is 6.5 km from Lonavala the Rajmachi Fort has deep valleys on three sides with dense jungles on the fourth. Shrivardhan and Manoranjan are two small forts located close to this historical monument. In rainy season this place is filled with giant waterfalls and grennery

Tiger Point: Tiger’s Point or Tiger's Leap is a prominent tourist attraction in Lonavala and offers splendid views of the valley. The echo produced by rocks falling into the crevasse is another highlight of this point. During monsoon, a small natural waterfall is formed close to this point. If you are a nature lover, you're surely in for a treat. 

Bhushi Dam and waterfalls: This place and its surrounding area is developed into a beautiful picnic spot area where couples can spend some time with each other.

Tungarli Lake: This is a beautiful and a serene lake that looks crystal clear during the monsoons.

Ryewood Park and ShivajiUdyan: Two of the beautiful gardens in Lonavala with beautiful manicured grass, lush green and tall trees and gardens with beautiful flowers makes this place romantic and serene.

Tiger's Leap: This point in the valley gives an impression of a tiger is leaping into the valley. This area gives amazing views of the whole valley.

Amrutanjan point: Another serene spot located high up in Khandala from where you can get excellent view of the places nearby.

Duke's Nose: Also known as Nagfani this is a cliff that resembles a pointed nose.

Karla and Bhaja Caves: These rock cut caves date back to 2nd century and located 16 km away from Khandala. They are popular for antiquity and beauty.
