
Bandipur National Park established in 1974 as a tiger reserve under Project Tiger, it is a national park located in the south Indian state of Karnataka. It is the most prominent national park known for its varied wildlife boasting different biomes in the dry deciduous forest. It is considered as one of the best managed parks of India. The park stretches across an area of 874 sq km with a great objective of protecting the endangered species like tigers and elephants in this region along with protecting and restricting the over-usages of the sandalwood trees in the reserve area. It’s a home to around 70 tigers and over 3000 Asian Elephants as well as other animals like Dhole, Gaur, Sloth bears etc.
Bandipur was known as once a private hunting reserve for the Maharaja of the Kingdom of Mysore but has now been upgraded to Bandipur Tiger Reserve. It is famous for a large variety of animals such as Tigers, Leopards, Elephants, Sambars, Spotted deers, Asiatic wild dogs amongst many others. Bandipur national park is important in the scheme of India’s effort towards nature conservation. It’s a Home to around 70 tigers and over 3000 Asian Elephants as well as other animals like Dhole, Gaur, Sloth bears etc. Gopal Swami Betta is the highest peak in Bandipur range.

It is 250 Km from Bengaluru, 70 Km from Ooty and 80 Km from Mysore on the main highway from Mysore to Ooty, making it open to a lot of tourists to have a breathtaking view of the enchanting mist covered peaks of the Nilgiris and plush moist deciduous, semi evergreens and dry deciduous vegetation.
Day 01: Arrival at Bangalore airport or railway station and proceed to Bandipur National Park (224km/4.5 Hours)
After arrival at Bangalore airport or railway station and proceed to Bandipur National park which is at a distance of 224 km away from Bangalore. Before reach you may stop for lunch at any nearest restaurant, later continue your journey towards Bandipur. Upon arrival check in to resort and get ready to visit evening Jungle safari by elephant which starts from 03:00 pm till 06:00 pm. After safari come back to resort and overnight stay with dinner at Bandipur hotel

Day 02: Explore Jungle Safari
Early in the morning around 5:30 am you will visit for Jungle safari by gypsy, which starts from 06:00 am till 08:00 am. After safari you will come back to hotel and have breakfast. After breakfast till lunch you have plenty of time to spend in resort. Later visit for evening jungle safari by van.
By the evening come back to hotel and overnight stay with dinner at Bandipur Resort.

After breakfast checkout from resort and proceed to Bangalore for onwards journey.
