By Road
You can both take a bus or drive down to Yelagiri. Yelagiri is well connected by Road from Ponneri. Regular bus services are available from cities like Tiruoathur, Bangalore, Chennai, Krishnagiri and Vanayambadi. You can also drive down from Bangalore, Chennai and Coimbatore. From Bangalore, you have to take the NH 7 towards Krishnagiri, from Chennai you will have to take the NH 4 and head towards Vellore and from Coimbatore you can take the NH 47 to Salem and then arrive at Krishnagiri.

Yelagiri has a moderate climate all through the year. During summers (March to June) temperature varies from 18°C to 34°C. Winters (November to February) are cool and temperature ranges from 11°C to 25°C. Monsoons (July to September) receives an average rainfall.
Pongal (January) and Deepavali during October are two important festivals celebrated with much gaiety and enthusiasm. Summer festival for three days in the month of May is very attractive and during this period tourists flock to this place.
