Travel by water
The taxi and ferry service that will operate up and down Dubai Water Canal in the coming weeks has been revealed. The whole city - from Dubai Marina Mall to Al Ghubauba, and no incorporating Dubai Canal - will be serviced by the Dubai Ferry three times daily, at 10am, 12pm and 5.30pm. Meanwhile the more common Water Taxi on the Creek will now run with extended hours of 10am to 10pm.
Two classes of fares have also been announced for the ferry, sliver (INR 300-INR 1000) and the gold class (INR 500-INR 1500). Taking 100 passengers at a time, it is already widely used from Dubai Creek to Dubai Marina. The taxi, meanwhile, which is an 11-seater vehicle and available only on demand, will cost anything from INR 1200 to INR 3800, depending on distance travelled. The whole taxi for an hour will cost INR 7500
