1. The Actual Track starts from Ghalu Temple, Ghalu temple is 1 hour walk from Mcleodganj & 45 minutes through a shortcut. Ghalu temple is well connected by Taxi services. There is also a taxi stand on the Ghalu ridge. Also there are two cafe & some small B&B hotels at Ghalu Ridge. From Ghalu Ridge the Triund is approx 7-8 kms.

2. The track to Triund from Ghalu is well marked ( No guide is needed if the objective is to trek only to Triund, not beyond). However if you are planning to stay overnight in Triund, then you can to carry your basic stuff & Porter mat be required.

3. Ghalu temple is the union point for 3-4 treks ( Trek coming from Mcleodganj, Trek Coming from Balh Village, Trek coming from Dharamkot). It is a nice picturesque place as a staging point for the Triund Trek.
