Places to visit around Jog Falls

Dabbe Falls: These pristine falls in Shimoga district are not polluted due to them being hidden in the mountains and not warranting much tourist activity Located in Sagara taluk near Hosagadde, Dabbe Falls is a serene and beautiful waterfall with a drop of 110 meters.  The waterfall is a hidden gem and is less crowded than its famous neighbour, the Jog Falls. The place is heaven for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.

Tunga Anicut Dam: The Tungna Anicut Dam Located at as distance of about 12 kilometers from Shimoga. One can enjoy boat ride in the lake surrounding the dam. The scenic beauty and the serene atmosphere surrounding the dam enhance the joy of enjoying a boat ride on the waters of the dam.

Unchalli Falls: Unchalli Falls is a waterfall created by a 116 metres (381 ft) drop in the Aghanashini river. The fall is located near Siddapur in Uttara Kannada District of Karnataka, India.  Unchalli is referred to as Keppe Joga or Jog Falls by the locals on account of the similarity of its height and rocky outcrop to the world famous Jog Falls.

Linganmakki Dam: The Linganamakki dam  was constructed by the Karnataka State Government in 1964. Located in the Sagara taluk, the dam has a length of 2.4 km, stretching across the Sharavathi river. It is located about 6 km from Jog Falls. The Linganamakki dam was constructed in the year 1964 by Karnataka State Government. The length of the dam is 2.4 Km spread out across river Sharavathi. Behind the dam is a large reservoir. The discharge from the dam can be quite heavy.
