Vishwanath Temple: The main temple of Guptkashi is dedicated to Lord Shiva as Vishwanath - "Lord of the Universe". It is built by regional stones and is situated in an enclosed courtyard. The small temple to its left is Ardhanarishvara.

 

 

Manikarnik Kund: It is a place where two streams of the Ganga and Yamuna meet. It is situated in the premises of Vishwanath Temple.

 

Kedarnath Temple: Kedarnath is one of the holiest Hindu pilgrims of India with Lord Shiva as its residing deity. This holy site is situated perched at an elevation of 3,584mts above sea level in the foot of imposing snow bound Himalayan peaks. This sacred temple was built by Adi Shankaracharya in the early 8th century. The temple is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of India and the main temple of Panch Kedar. Kedarnath temple is located 47kms from Guptkashi.

 

 

Trijuginarayan: It is the holy place where Lord Shiva married Goddess Parvati. Trijuginarayan is situated 45kms from Guptkashi. The immortal flame is still burning around which the marriage of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were solemnised.

 

 

Chopta: Chopta is popularly known as Mini Switzerland of Uttaranchal. The number of tourists visiting Chopta has increased in recent years and the region has become popular vacation spot for adventure lovers and explorers. Tungnath is the highest temple of Lord Shiva situated only 3.5kms away from Chopta which should be covered on foot or by pony. Chopta is situated 36kms from Guptkashi. The region showers tourists with natural beauteousness during winters.

Best Season :


The best season to visit Guptakashi is the winters and the onset of summers. The favourable months to visit the place are between October to March. The climate remains pleasant during these months offering tourists the best holiday experience.


Summer Season
Summers are moderately hot in Guptakashi and generally last between the months of April to June. The temperature ranges between a comfortable 15°C - 30°C in these months and relaxing cool breeze lifts up the spirits in the evenings. 


Monsoon Season
Guptakashi experiences moderate rainfalls in the months of July and September. The rains bring freshness and rejuvenating greenery to the place. 


Winter Season

Day 01: Delhi - Haridwar
Arrival Delhi Railway Station / Airport, Meet & Assist further drive to Haridwar. Visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti in evening. Back to your hotel, Night halt.Haridwar, lying at the feet of Shiva's hills, i.e., Shivaliks, in the Haridwar district of Uttaranchal Pradesh, is a doorway. Suryavanshi prince Bhagirath performed penance here to salvage the souls of his ancestors who had perished due to the curse of sage Kapila. The penance was answered and the river Ganga trickled forth forms Lord Shiva's locks and its bountiful water revived the sixty thousand sons of king Sagara. In the traditional of Bhagirath, devout Hindus stand in the sacred waters here, praying for salvation of their departed elder. It is doorway to the sources of the Ganga and the Yamuna, 3000 to 4500 meters up into the snowy ranges of the central Himalayas. The 'Aarti' worship of the Ganga after sunset and the floating 'dia' (lamp) is a moving ritual.
 
Day 02: Haridwar - Rudraprayag - Guptkashi
Drive to Guptkashi enroute visit Devprayag. Check in Hotel, night halt.
 
Day 03: Guptkashi - Kedarnath
Morning drive to Gaurikund, Trek start from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 mts) on foot or on by pony / Doli. Tour members should carry personal medicines, heavy woolen, toiletries and clothes for an overnight halt at Kedarnath. Check in Hotel. Later visit Kedarnath Temple. Night halt.
Gaurikund: At a distance of 5kms from Sonprayag and at an altitude of 1982 meters. One can take bath in the hot water pond here and visit the Gauri Temple. This is the place where Goddess Parvathi meditated to attain Lord Shiva. It is the base for a trek to Kedarnath.
Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is a scenic spot situated, against the backdrop of the majestic Kedarnath range. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Kurukshetra war, felt guilty of 
 
Day 04: Kedarnath - Rudraprayag
Early morning, after Temple Darshan trek down to Gaurikund. Later drive to Rudraprayag via Guptkashi. Check in Hotel at Rudraprayag. Night Halt.
Rudraprayag: It is the confluence of river Mandakini and river Alaknanda.
 
Day 05: Rudraprayag - Rishikesh
After Breakfast drive to Rishikesh, the 'place of sages' is a celebrated spiritual town on the bank of Ganga and is surrounded by Shivalik range of the Himalayas on three sides. It is said that when Raibhya Rishi did hard penances, God appeared by the name of " Hrishikesh " and this area hence firth came to be known as Rishikesh. Check in Hotel. Later visit Rishikesh Temples & Sight Seeing – Laxman Jhulla, Ram Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir, Shivananda Ashram, Parmarth Ashram.. At evening visit Ganga Aarti at Parmath Niketan Ashram. Overnight stay.
 
Day 06: Rishikesh - Delhi
Drive back to Delhi. On Arrival in Delhi, transfer to Railway Station / Airport.
