Bhagsu Waterfall: Bhagsu Falls is a beautiful waterfall, situated in the small village of Bhagsu, behind the Bhagsunath Temple. During monsoon, this waterfalls turns into a 30 ft cascade, alongside a mountain that features slate graffiti.

St. John Church in Dharamshala is also known as St. John Church in Wilderness. It is an Anglican Church which is dedicated to Saint John. This church was constructed in the year 1852, situated at Forsyth Ganj. It is built in Neo-Gothic architectural style and features Belgian stained-glass windows that were donated by Lady Elgin (Mary Louisa Lambton), wife of Lord Elgin.

The trek goes through mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and deodar tress. First two Kilometer is a steep ascent but there is a gradual ascent after Gallu Devi Temple. The last 1 kilometer is again a steep ascent through the forest. Triund is a flat meadow on top of a ridge. From here panoramic view of Dhauladhar range on one side and Kangra valley on other is a memorable sight. Night stay at tents or private houses.

Gallu Devi Temple:  Galu Devi temple located above Dharamkot is the highest point in Mcleodganj which can be approached by the vehicle itself.Galu Devi Temple is devoted to the Lord Shiva. But if you are visiting the Galu devi temple on foot you need to decide one of the road going from main square. One is for persons on foot and other one for vehicles. One on the left is very steep but very short. You need to follow this. Whole of the Trek is surrounded by the cedar trees blocking the sun and offering you cool atmosphere.

Triund: Triund is a small hill station in the Kangra district in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. The Triund Hill Station is a part of Dharamkot. Triund is at the foot of the Dhauladhar ranges and is at a height of 2,828 m. A trek to Triund is short and simple. It can be done from either McLeodganj or Dharamkot, which is 2km ahead of McLeodganj. The first half of the trek is a gradually inclined walk with the last 2km from Snowline Café which involves a vertical climb all the way till Triund. The evening sky from Triund is a sight in itself and is a good excuse for camping here at night. The trek from Mcleodganj to Triund is a sharp one of over 1100 meters and it is absolutely worth it because of the refreshing walks amongst the Rhododendron and Oak forest.

This is an acclimatization Day. After a short ascent from Triund traverse a ridge to reach Laka Got a temporary shepherd camp. Lahesh Cave: Lahesh is on the other side of the Glacier. We crossed the Glacier at the mountain foot and started the steep climb through the white rocks towards Lahesh cave. After a tiring and exhaustive trek we reached Lahesh at about 3:30 PM. A slight rain had started by now and the temperature dropped drastically. I began to shiver and quickly took out my jacket and woolen cap. The view was spine chilling.

Climb to Indrahaar pass 4350Mts. Early start is recommended. After climbing Indrahaar Pass lunch at Nag Dal Lake and start Trekking to stay at Chatta in small cave or there is space for camping also.

Triund Trek Package with Indrahar pass - Food Options

Great Food provider on Treks

  • Menus vary from one Nationality to another, but a typical day's meals would be as follows:

  • Breakfast – cereals or porridge, pancakes,  eggs to order – usually scrambled eggs orfried eggs, toast or chapatis, bakedbeans, honey or peanut butter, tea orcoffee.

  • Lunch – In many regions the trekkingcooks will provide a simple hot meal for lunch if there is water at the lunchstop forcooking. This could be, noodles/potatoes, curry, salad, rice anddhal,  vegetables, chapatis or bread, teaor  coffee/fruitjuices. Sometimes whencrossing high passes or drier regions a packed lunch will be provided which mayconsist of some of thefollowing: bread and jam sandwiches, chapatis, boiledeggs, oranges or apples, chocolate, cartons of juice. Arriving in tocamp –usually there will be tea/coffee and biscuits are available.

  • Evening meal – pop corn , papadums andfollowed by soup and the main course. We provide the most varied menu in the Himalaya. Meals vary from typical 'trekking food' .

  • It is amazing that our cooks, with quite basic equipment they manage to produce verygood  pizzas, fried chips, spaghetti, pasta . On the majority of treks most of the food is carried in from the roadhead, and depending on the area, this may be supplemented by the trek cookpurchasing additional vegetables in villages.

  • It should be understoodthat on long strenuous treks some of the food items would not last the wholedistance, such as eggs, and fresh vegetables like cabbage or cauliflower. Ourchefs are well versed in producing a variety of menus and will almostalways beable to accommodate specific requests. The most common of course is chips, chips and more chips.

  • Meat occasionally is taken on trek ‘on the hoof', and occasionally chickens/Lambs might be purchased on route.Although trekking companies provide ‘snacks' such as boiled sweets or chocolatebars we highly recommend that trekkers bring their own little supply of‘goodies'. Responsible Adventures also provide a variety of ‘goodies' such aschocolate bars, nuts and raisins, fruit bars or perhaps a variety of ‘treats'such as cheesecake mixes, fruits.

  • The trek cooks and helpers are trained to prepare the food hygienically. Special diets Vegetarians can be catered for quite easily. Other special diets can be accommodated withplenty of advance notice.
