Arrive at Delhi airport or railway station and you will drop to Volvo bus terminal, board the Volvo bus to Shimla and enjoy your overnight journey by Ac Volvo Bus.

The year 1965 saw the establishment of Indian Institute of Advanced Study here by Dr. Radhakrishnan.

 

Jakhu Hanumna Temple:  This temple of Lord Hanuman, the most faithful aide to Lord Rama is located in the thick forests of Jakhu hills. The devotees need to cover a steep hill trek of around 2 kms to reach the temple which is 2.5 km from the Ridge and offers beautiful views of the Shivalik Mountains and the nearby town of Sanjauli. State Museum: The State Museum Shimla is housed in an old Victorian mansion carefully altered to adapt it to the museum. There are many colonial structures and heritage sites in Shimla that are of great historical importance. Some archeological artifacts are also found here which include stone images from the 8th century.

 

Christ church: Christ Church, Shimla is the second oldest church in North India, after St John's Church in Meerut. It was consecrated on 10th January 1857 by Bishop Wilson of Calcutta. Arrive at Delhi airport or railway station and you will drop to Volvo bus terminal, board the Volvo bus to Shimla and enjoy your overnight journey by Ac Volvo Bus.

On arrival at Shimla which is known as Queen of Hills of Himachal Pradesh. Transfer to hotel (early check in is subject to availability normal check in time will be at 1200 hrs). Afternoon you may have lunch at same hotel.

Then you will be taken towards local sightseeing of Shimla which includes Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Jakhu Hanumna Temple, Christ church & State Museum

 

Indian Institute of Advanced Studies: The Indian Institute of Advanced Study is housed in the famous Viceregal Lodge situated on top of the Observatory Hill. Viceregal Lodge is also called Rashtrapati Niwas. The building was constructed between 1880 and 1888 during British reign. The year 1965 saw the establishment of Indian Institute of Advanced Study here by Dr. Radhakrishnan.

 

Jakhu Hanumna Temple:  This temple of Lord Hanuman, the most faithful aide to Lord Rama is located in the thick forests of Jakhu hills. The devotees need to cover a steep hill trek of around 2 kms to reach the temple which is 2.5 km from the Ridge and offers beautiful views of the Shivalik Mountains and the nearby town of Sanjauli. It is the highest peak in Shimla and gives shelter to countless playful monkeys which can be found waiting to be fed by visitors

 

State Museum: The State Museum Shimla is housed in an old Victorian mansion carefully altered to adapt it to the museum. There are many colonial structures and heritage sites in Shimla that are of great historical importance. The museum also has a doll gallery which has several bride and groom dolls among many others which are admired by all visitors. Some archeological artifacts are also found here which include stone images from the 8th century.

 

Christ church: Christ Church, Shimla is the second oldest church in North India, after St John's Church in Meerut. It was consecrated on 10th January 1857 by Bishop Wilson of Calcutta. Built in Neo-Gothic style of architecture, other impressive features of the Church include paintings that portray scenes from Jesus Christ’s life. As it is located at the most prominent road of Shimla, The Ridge, it has become an important landmark in the city.

 

By the evening you will be free to stroll in the famous shopping place of Shimla town, the Mall and the Ridge. After that you will return back to Hotel Hilltop Shimla and overnight stay with dinner.
