He kept it hidden from the government authorities for 18 years, till 1975. The garden features several interlinked causeways that run along the waterfalls of the Sukhna Lake and is landscaped with pottery and sculptures of dancers, animals and musicians.

After breakfast proceed to visit local sightseeing of Chandigarh like Rose Garden, Rock garden, Pinjore Garden, Chattbir Zoo, Museum and Art Gallery and dolls Museum. In Between your visit have lunch at Punjabi Haveli restaurant. After that came back to hotel, rest of the day is for your leisure and overnight stay at hotel.

Rose Garden:  The one of the major attraction of Chandigarh is rose Garden. Spread over 30 acres the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden is the largest botanical garden in Asia that is dedicated to roses. The garden is named after Zakir Hussain the former President of India. Apart from roses the garden also features several verities of medicinal herbs.
 

Rock Garden: The Another Attraction of Chandigarh is Rock garden. The name refers to a sculpture garden located near Sukhna Lake. The Rock garden is also known by the name Nek Chand’s Rock Garden after its founder. Nek Chand was a former government official who started cultivating this garden secretly in his spare time. He kept it hidden from the government authorities for 18 years, till 1975. The garden features several interlinked causeways that run along the waterfalls of the Sukhna Lake and is landscaped with pottery and sculptures of dancers, animals and musicians.

Day 07: Food
Lunch: In between your journey have lunch at Punjabi Haveli (Shop No. 38, Phase 5, Sector 59, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Punjab 160059)
Breakfast & Dinner: Served At Hotel


After breakfast proceed to Airport. Our representative will drop you at Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station. You can take either Flight or Train.


By Air: There is no direct flight from Chandigarh to Chennai. There is one stop at Delhi. So, take Flight Indigo (6E-842C) at 12:00 and reach Delhi at 12:55. After that take your next flight SPICE JET (SG-103M) from Delhi at 14:30 and reach Chennai at 17:30. All The best for your Journey.
By Train: There is direct train from Chandigarh to Patna. Take train CDG MDU SF EXP from Chandigarh Railway Station at 07:50 and reach Chennai at 08:15. Total Travel is of 42.25. All the best for your journey.
