Start the tour from Delhi Airport Railway Station and proceed to Chandigarh, It is arround 252 km and take 4-5 hours to arrive Chandigarh. We will break journey at Karnal for luunch. Have lunch and some rest at Karnal, proceed to Chandigarh. After arrival check into hotel and overnight stay at hotel.

Panchpula: Panchpula is located at a distance of around 3 km from Dalhousie. One of the famous picturesque spots in the region, the word Panchpula means five bridges. It is the place where a descending stream pours into and feeds several pools. The main stream that supplies water to cities of Dalhousie and Balloon is the Panchpula stream. The stream originates from the northern side of Dayakund, which then cuts through a ravine to fall into the water bodies located in Panchpula. A monument or a samadhi has been built where several streams meet at Panchpula in the memory of Sardar Ajit Singh, who was a great revolutionary.

Kalatop Wildlife sanctuary: Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, located in the district of Chamba, is one of the most popular as well as most frequented sanctuaries in state of Himachal Pradesh. Popularly known as the Kalatop Khajjiar Sanctuary, the entire forest is covered with the thick foliage of deodar trees. In addition the sanctuary is also home to several animals and birds. Sprawling over an area of 1962 hectares, the sanctuary is located at a distance of 6 km from Dalhousie. The vegetation is in this sanctuary mainly comprises blue pine, fir and deodar trees.  Home to several species of animals and birds that reside within the forests make it one of the most popular tourist attractions of the entire State.

After breakfast visit Khajjair ( Mini Switzerland) spend some time there and then proceed to Manimahesh Trek via Hadsar. From Hadsar, we gradually ascend to Dancho. It will take around three hrs to walk these 7 kms. Manimahesh Lake is located only 10 kms from Dancho. It is also called Chamba Kailash. The lake is on the base of Manimahesh Peak (5486 mts/17995 ft).The lake is famous for Manimahesh Yatra (pilgrimage).The pilgrimage starts in Bharmour. Bharmour has beautiful ancient temples. Dinner & overnight stay in tent.

Khajjiar: Khajjiar is one of the famous retreats among the visitors. Khajjiar is famous for the popular Khajji Naga shrine dedicated to the serpent god from which the name is believed to have been derived. In the morning after breakfast, trek to Manimahesh lake. Today we will climb from Dancho to Manimahesh Lake. This is long and gradual climb. 
The beutiful Manimahesh lake is located at the base of Mount Kailash or Chamba Kailash ( 5775 m ). The Chamba Kailash is a epicenter of religion of the area & is know to be Holy a "Abode of Lord Shiva " . The area is alos well known fo its Gaddi tribes & temples as old as 1300 years . Bharmour has been the capital of the area for more than 400 years. After having Darshans of Manimahesh peak and Ritual bath at the lake and performing pooja, we start the trek back to Dancho. Dinner and overnight stay in Dhancho camp.

In the morning after breakfast trek down from Dancho back to Hadsar and have darshans of the sacred 84 temples, After darshans proceed to Chamba - the pictorius beautiful town in Himachal. On arrival check in to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Chamba hotel.

Minjair festival - Visit The World Famous Festival

Minjair Festival in Chamba is a week-long festival ( World Famous) & celebrated in the month of July or August every year. It is celebrated in the month of Shravan according to Hindu calendar. & takes place in the Chaugan area which is converted into market place during the festival. The Minjar  festival attracts visitors and participants from all across the country. The cenral attraction of the Minjar Fair is the colourful processions of various deities. People dress up in silk tassel,  The procession starts at Akhand Chandi Palace and terminates at the Police Lines Nalhora.

LAXMI NARAYAN TEMPLE COMPLEX : With six main Shikhara style temples and several smaller shrines, this is renowned for its finely executed classical forms.


HARI RAI TEMPLE : This is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and dates back to the 11th Century.


THE CHOWGAN : Chamba's wide concourse is the hub of much of towns activity and also serves as its promenade.

RANGMAHAL : This old palace is an interesting mix of colonial and local architectural styles.

AKHAND CHANDI PALACE : Now a college, this imposing building once housed Chamba's ruling family. Much of the original craftsmanship can still be seen.

BHURI SINGH MUSEUM : Named after Raja Bhuri Singh of Chamba, this is a treasure house of Chamba's rich past. The exhibits include copper plates, murals, doorways, costumes, paintings and stone carvings.

ST. ANDREW'S CHURCH : Over a century old, this is a charming dressed stone structure with lancet windows.

Khajjiar

Khajji Nag Temple: Khajji Nag Temple was built way back in 12 Century AD. This temple is located near the lake and is also believed to be one of the holiest temples in Himachal Pradesh. This ancient temple has a mandapa inside it where you can see the hanging images of Kauravas with the defeated Pandavas (From the ancient epic Mahabharata). Khajji Nag Temple is dedicated to Khajji Nag who is known to be the Lord or the Serpents.

Golden Devi Temple: Situated on the edge of Khajjiar Lake, the Golden temple is a major attraction due to the golden spire of the temple. Due to its Golden dome, this temple is named Golden Devi Temple.

Dalhousie

Dainkund Peak: Dainkund Peak, perched at an altitude of 2755 metre, is the highest mount in Dalhousie. Tourists can enjoy 360° view of the entire valley from this peak. The sound of the breeze passing through the trees makes a musical sound, due to which this peak has also acquired the name, the singing hill. The top of this hill is occupied by the Indian Air Force and from there a left turn will take tourists to the Pholani Devi Temple. One of the most interesting facts about this temple is that, except a trident there is nothing inside the temple premises.

St.Francis Church: St. Francis Church, located on the Subhash Chowk is one of the prominent monuments of Dalhousie. The money required for the construction of this church was attributed by army officers as well as civilian. Constructed in 1894, this church is being maintained and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Jalandhar. The major attractions of this church include beautiful glass work along with intricate stone work. In addition, the church conducts services on Sundays that are attended by several people. Built in accordance to a famous Church of England, the St Francis Church has the architectural style that bears the old British type of architecture.

Satdhara Falls: Satdhara Falls, located on the way to Panchpula is one of the most popular sightseeing attractions of Dalhousie. Perched at an altitude of 2036 m above sea level, the place has derived its name from the seven beautiful springs. It is believed that these springs have several therapeutic values. This is because water in these springs comprises mica, which is known as 'Gandhak' in local language. The mica has several medicinal properties, which helps in curing many diseases and ailments.

St. John church: St. John's Church, oldest church of the town carries immense historical significance. Constructed during the rule of Britishers in India, this church was founded by the protestant missionaries.  Located amidst beautiful natural backdrop, this church is one of the most visited churches of the town. Bharmour has been the capital of the area for more than 400 years. After having Darshans of Manimahesh peak and Ritual bath at the lake and performing pooja, we start the trek back to Dancho. In the morning after breakfast trek down from Dancho back to Hadsar and have darshans of the sacred 84 temples, After darshans proceed to Chamba - the pictorius beautiful town in Himachal. On arrival check in to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Chamba hotel.

Minjair festival - Visit The World Famous Festival

Minjair Festival in Chamba is a week-long festival ( World Famous) & celebrated in the month of July or August every year. It is celebrated in the month of Shravan according to Hindu calendar. & takes place in the Chaugan area which is converted into market place during the festival. The Minjar  festival attracts visitors and participants from all across the country. The cenral attraction of the Minjar Fair is the colourful processions of various deities. People dress up in silk tassel,  The procession starts at Akhand Chandi Palace and terminates at the Police Lines Nalhora.

LAXMI NARAYAN TEMPLE COMPLEX : With six main Shikhara style temples and several smaller shrines, this is renowned for its finely executed classical forms.


HARI RAI TEMPLE : This is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and dates back to the 11th Century.


THE CHOWGAN : Chamba's wide concourse is the hub of much of towns activity and also serves as its promenade.

RANGMAHAL : This old palace is an interesting mix of colonial and local architectural styles.

AKHAND CHANDI PALACE : Now a college, this imposing building once housed Chamba's ruling family. Much of the original craftsmanship can still be seen.

BHURI SINGH MUSEUM : Named after Raja Bhuri Singh of Chamba, this is a treasure house of Chamba's rich past. The exhibits include copper plates, murals, doorways, costumes, paintings and stone carvings.

ST. ANDREW'S CHURCH : Over a century old, this is a charming dressed stone structure with lancet windows.

Night Stay in Chamba

After Breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Chandigarh. It is arround 353 km and take 7-8 hours to arrive Chandigarh. The journey is too long so we will break journey at Hoshiarpur. Have lunch and some rest at Hotel Shiraj Regency, proceed to Chandigarh. After arrival check into hotel and overnight stay at Chandigarh.

Lunch: In Between Your journey you may have lunch at Hotel Shiraj Regency(12 Khanpuri Gate, Model colony, Hoshiarpur, Punjab 146001)

Breakfast & Dinner: Served at Hotel

After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Delhi. It is arround 252 km and take 4-5 hours to reach Delhi. The Journey is too long so we will break Journey for Lunch at Karnal. Have lunch and some rest, proceed to Delhi. Our representative will drop you at Delhi Airport/Railway Station.

Lunch: In Between Your journey you may have lunch at Hotel Jewel’s( Jewel Chowk, NH-1, Karnal, Haryana 132001)

Suggested Itinerary

Arrive Delhi airport/railway st. and proceed to Himachal Dalhousie Via Pathankot or Chandigarh, by evening reach Dalhousie. After arrival check into hotel and overnight stay at hotel. 

After breakfast you will visit for church tour of Dalhousie which are St. Andrew's Church and St. Patrick's Church at Balun, St. Francis church at Subhash Chowk and St.John's Church at Gandhi Chowk. After lunch at nearest good restaurant you will visit for Subash Boli, Panchpula, Kalatop and in the evening you can go for shopping. Overnight stay in Dalhousie
    
CHURCH Tour : There are four beautiful churches in Dalhousie. These are St. Andrew's Church and St. Patrick's Church at Balun, St. Francis church at Subhash Chowk and St.John's Church at Gandhi Chowk.

SUBHASH BAOLI (1 km) : It was at this enchanting spot surrounded by majestic trees, that Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose spent time in 1937, contemplating and meditating. Located at splended walk from main post office leading upto a spring at 2058meters offering panormic views of snow capped mountains.

PANCHPULA (3 km) : This is a picturesque spot where a stream feed a series of 5 pools. A monument has been built here in memory of the freedom fighter, Sardar Ajit Singh.

KALATOP (10 km) : This wild life sanctuary is a home to the 'ghoral' and Himalayan black bear.It has famous Forest rest house located at 2440 meters, making an ideal spot for retreat and observe variaty of wild life.
    
SHOPPING : Tibetan handicrafts including pullovers and carpets at Dalhousie. Chamba Slippers, 'Rumals' and Shawls at Chamba town.
Night Stay in Dalhousie

 

In the morning, after breakfast, Check out and  drive up to khalijar, stay  an hour at Khajiar & enjoy the lovely Meadow site & lake. This place is known as switzerland of India. have a photography session here.

Khajjair: Khajjiar is actually a exquisite glade and picturesque spot with emarald saucer shaped meadow amidst forest and with a lake and floating island at centre. Also there is a temple with golden sphire by the side and golf course. It is a perfect day holiday spot. After Khajjiar Further drive to Hadsar and Holiday travel will arrange for a Resting Room for you to prepare for the Sacred Manimahesh Trek.

Mani mahesh Trek Start - Trek to Dancho (7 kms - 2280 mts/7479 ft)

From Hadsar, we gradually ascend to Dancho. It will take around three hrs to walk these 7 kms. Manimahesh Lake is located only 10 kms from Dancho. It is also called Chamba Kailash. The lake is on the base of Manimahesh Peak (5486 mts/17995 ft).The lake is famous for Manimahesh Yatra (pilgrimage).The pilgrimage starts in Bharmour. Bharmour has beautiful ancient temples. Dinner & overnight stay in tent.
