Penang Tour Package Itinerary

Our cordial representatives welcome you at the Airport and take you to the hotel.  The mode of transportation would be car/taxi. We assist you to check-in at the hotel room where we have booked for your stay.

Day 01

Penang is beaming with life and its night tours are something to vouch for. On the first day we take you to the much talked Gurney Drive which is the place where the famous Penang Hawkers sell some mouthwatering dishes. As they say if you have not indulged in the scrumptious Penang food, you have really missed the biggest attraction. Nasi Kandar, Laksa, Char Koay Teow, Hokkien Mee, Bukit Tambun Seafood, Rojak, Pasembur, Bak Kut The and Eurasian cuisines are the top 10 foods which we suggest you to try to make your night out truly memorable. This is not included in the package.

After you have savoured the food at Gurney Drive, we take you to Butterworth on a ferry and then bring you back to the island using the Penang Bridge which is 13.5 km long. A trip to Butterworth on a ferry is something which every tourist wants to make because of the lovely sight one gets to see as one treads the water.

Day 02

As you wake fresh from the memories of the last night’s experience at Penang, we ensure that you get ready for the day with a wholesome breakfast at the hotel. After this we begin the half day tour of Penang which we assure covers almost all the tourist attractions of the place. The tour includes a visit to the following

Botanical Garden: Located by the Jalan Kebun Bunga, the Botanical Gardens at Penang are also called Waterfalls Gardens. The Garden houses a vast number of plant species that are endemic to the island and also exotic ones. Divided into 12 sections, the garden has a Lily Pond, Tropical Rainforest Jungle Track, Fern House, Fern Rockery, Cactus House and many more attractions. The cannonball tree, slipper orchids and black lily attract tourists the most.

                 Botanical Garden.jpg

Reclining Buddha Temple: Reclining Buddha represents Buddha at his death. This temple is also called the Sleeping Buddha and is a Thai Temple known for its 33 meter gold plated statue of sleeping Buddha. Being the largest statue of Buddha in the world, tourists ensure to visit this temple at least once. The magnificence of the statue is undoubtedly something worth watching. The richly carved walls together with the ornate interiors add splendor to the temple.

                 Reclining Buddha Temple.jpg

China Town: It is a tourist’s paradise with glimpses of the past. One can get a good view of the original Chinese settlers here. More than 100 years old the clan hoses and the pre-war houses have been preserved and offer a great sight. While Mosques and temples are scattered across the locality, traditional shop-houses and markets are in plenty presenting unique shopping experiences.

                   China Town.jpg

Fort Cornwallis : The star shaped citadel named after the Marques Charles Cornwallis is the oldest standing building in Penang. To present a surreal experience of the historic times, a piece of music from 1812 is played and a native man attired in full British regalia is present at the gate. Though low on information, the fort has many interesting displays. You can also enjoy a walk around the immaculate garden inside the fort premises.

Tourists are also taken to witness Crown Pewter Demonstration.

After the half day tour we then take you back to the hotel and you are free to explore Penang or go shopping during the rest of the day.

There are plenty of things that can keep you entertained and give you some pleasant experiences to cherish through your lifetime. If you are still left with energy, the best thing is to go for a walk on the streets of George Town which has some great architectural beauties lined across its expanse, built during its colonial days.  Don’t keep your camera behind at the hotel room as you can expect some great picture postcard shots. Every building and clanhouse in the area speaks about the rich history of Penang and the nooks and corners of the city entice the tourists with tales from the past.

              Fort Cornwallis.jpg

While walking down the streets, you might want to dive- in ton some more street food. Even if you had a great deal of it last night, there will be still plenty more for you. Eat at these roadside stalls and cafeterias is a great experience and we promise not only the tourists, you will find plenty of locals indulging in their favourite foods.

With a full stomach, you might want to explore more. Take the cable car for a short ride of thirty minutes to get some scenic views sweeping across the island of Penang as the cable car takes you up to the Penang Hill which is 821 m above sea level. At the Penang Hill you will come across splendid mansions of the colonial times which have now been turned into restaurants and guest houses. Time spent at Penang Hill is refreshing because of the soft cool breeze that blows here continuously.

You can end your day at the upper Penang Road and Chulia Street which are the hotspots for the party lovers. The upper Penang Road beams with life after the dusk when pubs, bars and karaoke lounges where people drink and dance to beats of drums and music played on the guitar.

Day 03

After the breakfast we leave you free until the time of departure to re-visit the places you have liked and visit some new ones.

If you had not taken the walk on the streets of George town or had not been able to explore the historic city much, you can take the guided walking tours organized by Penang Heritage Trust at RM 50/ person. Tourists also have the option to select from trishaw or bicycle at RM 80/ person.

              Penang Hill.jpg

Alternately a visit to the Tropical Butterfly farm located in Teluk Bahang can be recommended. One can easily say a visit to the butterfly farm will occupy a place in your memory.
